Alternate Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura said in an interview with radio station Praktorio 104.9 that “last-minute reservations will increase by 40 percent this year, as was also the case last year.”
Kountoura also expressed her support to the relatives of the victims of the terrorist attack in Nice.
She said external factors, such as terrorism, Brexit and the refugee issue all affect tourism.
“When our neighborhood is stable, there is security, and people travel more easily,” she said.
