Philosophy School Occupied by Youth, Fears for More to Come From No Border Camp

SCHOOL
Early on Friday morning, people occupied the Philosophy school of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in support of the occupation of the Law School. Dean Dimitris Mavroskoufis said that forty young people pushed by the guards and forced them to open the building so that they could use the amphitheatre, halls and toilets.
When the guards refused let the people in, they broke locks and entered the building.
University authorities are worried that there will be more occupations following the arrivals of more caravans from Greece and abroad for the organization of the “No Border Camp Thessaloniki 2016” that started on July 14 and will run until July 24. Its focus is the refugee issue.
There may be a prosecutors warrant for police to intervene if there is suspected violation of the law.
