4-1 Victory for Greece Over Gibraltar in 2018 World Cup European Qualifier

greece gibraltar 2018 world qualifiersOn Tuesday Greece has clinched a 4-1 away win against Gibraltar as the qualifying games for the 2018 World Cup are underway.
The first goal came in the first-half at the 10th minute thanks to Costas Mitroglou.
Then Gibraltar made history, scoring its first goal in a World Cup European Qualifier match.
From there, the game took off with Greece scoring three more goals. First, an own goal by Wiseman was scored, followed by goals from Fortounis and Torosidis, giving Greece a 4-1 lead at half time, which remained for the second half and settled the final score.
Gibraltar made many efforts in the second half to try to even the score, but the less experienced team who were playing in their first ever World Cup Qualifier were unable to catch up.
On October 7 Greece will host Cyprus in the next qualifier game.
