There were unique moments during the 5th Annual Athens Flying Week 2016 at the airbase of Tanagra with two amazing days of unique air shows and individual events. This year’s show lacked the luster of years past in terms of gathering crowds whereas the acrobatics were at the same level as years past without, however, wowing the crowds with something different to the typical flying week fare.

To ensure the safety of the crowd, the jets were far away. Still, spectators had a chance to admire flights of a F-4E AUP Phantom II, a Mirage 2005 and a Super Puma helicopter of the Greek Airforce along with the acrobatic team Daedalus with the single engine T-6A. The Greek navy participated with an S70B Aegean Hawk helicopter.

On the sidelines, there were aeromodelling exhibitions, aeroclub pavilions and other kiosks.
