Following statements made last week by Turkey’s President Erdogan regarding the Lausanne Treaty, New Democracy (ND) spokesman Giorgos Koumoutsakos and the Greek Foreign Ministry have given official statements..
“The fact that the issue of the Aegean is in public consultation in Turkey must be evaluated carefully and seriously,” main opposition ND spokesman Giorgos Koumoutsakos said.
“It is obvious that the governing and the opposition parties in Turkey are picking a fight for someone else’s barn,” the Greek Foreign ministry said in an announcement on Sunday.
