2nd Israel-Greece Joint Meeting on Nanotechnology and BioNanoscience to Take Place in Crete October 25-28

nanotechnology greece israelThe 2nd Israel-Greece Joint Meeting on Nanotechnology and BioNanoscience is taking place from October 25-28, 2016 at the Hotel Aquila Atlantis in Heraklion, Crete.
The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IIDL) and the Institution of Research and Technology (ITE) have organized this meeting in collaboration with the Israeli Institutions Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Weizmann Institute of Science.
Taking into consideration the “neighboring relation” of Israel and Greece such as the common values and the joint value in fostering scientific exchanges, this common meeting aims at as the promotion and briefing of recent developments of Nanotechnology and BioNanoscience in the two countries with invited speeches from distinguished scientists.
More specifically, the meeting will create a platform for an exchange of information as well as encouraging future joint collaborations between the two scientific communities.
The organizational committee consists of Greeks Mr. P. Anastasiadi, Professor Emmanuel Stratakis from the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), and Professor Anna Mitraki from the University of Crete, as well as the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser-IIDL in the Institution of Technology and Research (ITE).
Organizers from the side of Israel are Professor Ehud Gazit from Tel Aviv University, Mr. Maya Bar Sadan from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Dr. Alla Zak from Holon Institute of Technology and Professor Reshef Tenne from Weizmann Institute of Science.
In 2014, the 1st Israel-Greece Joint Meeting took place achieving much success in Israel with 36 Invited talks and 32 poster presentations. See more details about the event with this link: Israel-Greece Joint Meeting
