Terrorist Group Bombs Prosecutor's Home in Greece

eksarxeia-tsatani-1-708Terrorist group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire took responsibility for a time bomb placed outside the home of Appeals Prosecutor Georgia Tsatani at 11:45 pm on Wednesday in Exarcheia, in central Athens.
Prior to the explosion, at 22:22 pm, a man called Efimerida ton Syntakton newspaper and zougla.gr news website and warned about the bomb placed. However, the explosive device detonated minutes before the time that was stated.
Late on Thursday morning, terrorist group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire uploaded a statement on anarchist website indymedia.org that the bomb was only a warning and accuse Tsatani of corruption for covering up cases of political and corporate wrongdoings.
The statement says that other than her corrupt practices – the latest one being putting on file the case against businessman Andreas Vgenopoulos – Tsatani has prosecuted family members of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire, thereby blackmailing anarchist rebels.
The statement further says that the hit against the prosecutor was a solidarity gesture in honor of jailed “comrades” and that a revenge plan called “Nemesis” will soon be in motion.
The prosecutor’s lawyer Themis Sofos spoke on Ant1 television complaining that even though his client had police protection, lately she had received threats. However the number of her security guards had been reduced significantly in the past few days despite his requests for enhanced security.
When asked whether there had been threats against the prosecutor, her lawyer said that, “I had notified the police station that there are serious indications of a possible attack and had explained the reasons why it was appropriate to maintain the protection she had for six years, two policemen and a police car.” However, his request went unanswered.
