Man Throws Fire Bomb at Presidential Guards in Front of Greek Parliament

imagehandler-2An unknown man wearing a hood hurled a molotov cocktail at the presidential guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monument early Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. when a hooded black-clad man approached the sentry boxes in front of the monument that stands before the Greek Parliament. The man opened his backpack and pulled out a fire bomb which he threw at the guards, the Evzones,  before he ran away. The molotov cocktail exploded immediately next to the sentry boxes, but far enough from the guards.
Police mobilized immediately but failed to catch the man. Authorities are now trying to identify the perpetrator using videos from security cameras.
