A European Commission Survey examining the rates charges of 18 different categories of service packages across the 28 European Union (EU) member-states shows that Greece is the most expensive country when it comes to using cellphones for internet access.
The data showed that of the 18 categories, Greece was the most expensive in 17, demonstrating the staggering differences in pricing for internet services.
An example that ekthimerini.com published says that using a tablet or laptop to go online is costing Greeks 50 percent more than the rest of the EU bloc.
Also, the data showed that using a cellphone to access the internet is actually some 90 percent more expensive in Greece than the average EU rates.
