On Thursday the National Bank of Greece elected Panayiotis Thomopoulos as its new chairman, replacing chairwomen Louka Katseli.
ThomopoulosĀ is the former deputy governor of the BankĀ of Greece and the former chairman of the Hellenic Financial Stability Fund.
