A conference focused on the joys of the Athens Marathon is organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s Cultural Center (SNFCC) with the aim of informing and sensitizing the wider public in regard to the sports, cultural and historical event that draws participation from around the world at a steadily increasing pace. Journalist and runner Nikos Armenis will chair the event that includes the participation of Maria Polizou (first Greek Marathon Runner), Dimitris Theodorakakos (Greek marathon runner winner and mountain runner) and Michalis Kalomoiris (Greek marathon runner, who represented Greece at the 2016 Olympics). Foreign sportsmen will also take part in the event that runs at the SNFCC from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11.
Prior to the event’s commencement (4 p.m.-6 p.m.) the Sports Excellence Center of the Sports Unit of the 1st Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Athens, is organizing an interactive Lab for the Athlete’s Evaluation-Observation.
