On Monday New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in an interview with Iefimerida that he believes that Donald Trump will be different after he takes office as President.
Mitsotakis considered that there would be no problems as the U.S. has important institutions. As he said, the U.S. system provides for the necessary controls in the executive power to avoid policies against the country’s interests.
He also noted that the U.S. society as well as other around the world are divided.
“We are facing a great challenge as for how wealth is produced and distributed. Globalization has not benefited everyone on equal terms,” he said.
“Our aim is not to attribute responsibilities or to punish anyone. Our aim is to see the reality. In order to close the chapter of the new regime, we must keep the positive experiences, learn from our mistakes and go ahead,” he underlined.
