Fears That Home-Made Explosives Will be Used at Anti-Obama Rallies

PolicE
An investigation by Greek police ahead of the official visit of United States President Barack Obama found a bag with seven Molotov cocktails on Korai Street in Nea Smyrni, a residential suburb south of the city center. The street where the explosives were found on Tuesday morning is adjacent to the Panionios football field, the Milonas sports club and the location of a school complex attended by students from primary to senior high school.
On Monday afternoon, close to 30 anarchists raided the Bazaar Supermarket at Exarchia — a suburb known for its anarchist tendencies — stealing small gas tanks, spirits, chlorine and oil.
There are fears that the material is being used to create home-made explosives that will be used in afternoon rallies against the visit of the United States president to Athens.
