On Monday government spokesman and Minister of State, Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, spoke to Radio Parapolitika where he commented “Early elections are not, in any case, part of our planning. We will not hand over the country to the lenders’ demands.”
He went on to add that he hopes that in August 2018 “Greece will exit the memoranda and the supervision. Even if — which is highly unlikely — the second review delays, we will not go to elections. The country does not need elections,” said Tzanakopoulos.
