Professionals on Lesvos Lobby Against More Migrant Camps, Saying Islands Need Regulation of NPOs

Groups of professionals on the Aegean island of Lesvos are set to lobby against more migrant camps being constructed on their island. The island is one of the hotspots for the migrant crisis and its camps are already well over their capacity limits for the many migrants they are built to host.
The professionals say that they are lobbying for the good of the island, as well as to demand that some sort of regulations need to be put in place for the NPOs operating there, just as their counterparts on the island of Chios recently lobbied for the same reasons as that island is yet another migrant hotspot in Greece with reception camps operating over capacity.
The migrants stranded on the Aegean islands have made the dangerous journey across the sea from Turkey only to await their asylum request to be processed to find out if they will have to return to Turkey or if they can move on in their migration. To date there are over 60,000 migrants trapped in Greece since FYROM and other EU border countries shut their border last spring.
