More Armed Turkish Jets Violate Greek Airspace

There were a total of four violations of Greece’s airspace by Turkish jetsĀ on Tuesday, authorities report.
Two jets flying in formation and one singular jet entered the airspace near the inlet of Panagia.
The jets were flying some 25,000 feet above land, entering the Athens flight Information Region at around 11:30 am.
Reports show that two of the three jets were armed and they were all chased off by Greek jets.
The three jets are just the latest in a series of airspace violations by the Turks into Greece’s Athens Flight Information Region. Tensions have risen between the two countries as the Turkish president has publicly claimed that the LausanneĀ Treaty is up for interpretation as he continues to make statements in accordance to irredentist rhetoric.
