Three Toddlers Found Abandoned Outside Greek Hospital

Three children were found abandoned on Monday outside the 409 Public Hospital in the city of Patras in Peloponnese.
The three toddlers were wandering the streets without being accompanied by an adult, when a passersby notified the hospital staff who took them inside the hospital.
The three girls were taken to the Karamandanio Children’s Hospital of Patras. The youngest is five months old, the middle one is one year old and the oldest is four years old.
According to local website best.gr, doctors and nurses believe the abandoned children are either Roma or foreigners since the oldest one does not speak or understand Greek.
A Patras prosecutor was notified about the toddlers and professionals from the Children’s Psychiatric Center of Patras were called in as well to make a psychological assessment of the abandoned toddlers.
Director of Karamandanio Children’s Hospital Giorgos Krokidas told best.gr that the children’s health is generally good but they are still scared.
