Greek DefMin Believes in Good Cooperation Between Greece-U.S. With President Trump

Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos on Friday expressed his belief that there will be close cooperation between Greece and the United States with new President Donald Trump.
Kammenos is in Washington and was present at an event organized by the Presidential Inaugural Committee. The leader of junior coalition partner Independent Greeks stated that he is “confident the new American government will continue its close cooperation with Greece within the NATO framework, but also in bilateral cooperation.”
The Greek Defense Minister met with two Greek-Americans close to U.S. President Donald Trump, namely White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and adviser George Papadopoulos.
Kammenos believes that the new U.S. President has “some very important Greek-Americans by his side who maintain their ties with our country, with Orthodoxy and with the Greek people. We are certain that when the time comes for them to help their homeland… they will do so to the best of their ability.”
