IMF Asks for Lower Tax-Free Threshold and Pensions

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) wants Greece to legislate a lower tax-free threshold and pensions which would be implemented in the “near future” and after the economy has started recovering, its spokesman Gerry Rice said at a regular press briefing on Thursday.
Rice reiterated that the fund does not ask for more austerity for Greece and that if creditors agree on a primary surplus higher than 1.5 percent of the GDP, it will only be sustainable for a few years.
