BoG Governor Urges Greece and Creditors to Compromise Before It's too Late

Governor of the Bank of Greece, Yannis Stournaras, said on Monday, that time is running out for bailout review talks and stressed that Athens and its creditors must complete the country’s bailout review by February’s end.
“Bailout review talks are at a very critical phase. The economy’s positive momentum must be assured by the swift conclusion of the review,” said the central bank’s chief. He also stresses that delaying negotiations further poses a threat to the expected recovery of the Greek economy.
In his comments, he pressed all sides to compromise and come to a conclusion by the end of the month, stressing that conditions could be far worse later and “it may be too late.”
