Wikileaks: CIA was Monitoring French Political Parties and their Stance on Greek Crisis

The interest of the CIA for the attitude of French political parties towards the Greek debt crisis before the 2012 elections in France has been revealed on the WikiLeaks website.
According to WikiLeaks, the CIA was watching all major French parties during the seven months prior to the 2012 elections in France.
The purpose of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency was to gather information on policies the parties promoted for strengthening the French economy and their positions on the German growth model.
The CIA showed particular interest to the presidential candidates positions on the European economic crisis and specifically to the issue of the Greek debt crisis:
“The role of France and Germany in the management of the Greek debt crisis, the sensitivity of the French Government and the French banks on a possible Greek default, and specific proposals to tackle the euro zone crisis.”
