Byzantine Museum of Argolida Opens in Argos

The Byzantine Museum of Argolida, is celebrating its opening in northern Peloponnesian town of Argos.
The inauguration took place on Thursday as a part of efforts to increase the town’s cultural and historical accessibility in order to reach out to the local community and tourists alike, by hosting a viewing of many artifacts dating from the 4th to the mid-15th century.
The museum is located in a building that was once a barrack which was built back in the 17th century and was originally set to be used as a hospital by the Venetians.
Museum hours are:
Tuesday – Sunday, 9:00am to 2:00pm.
