OPAP VLT Business Will be Fully Installed by Mid 2018, CEO Says

OPAP, the fourth largest betting firm in Greece announced on Thursday that next year the company will conclude the roll-out of its new business of video lottery terminals (VLTs).
The announcement came during a press conference where the Chief Executive Officer Damian Cope said that OPAP will be rolling out the new VLTs until the middle of next year and it is expecting that 2019 will be the first full year that the business will operate.
The decision to go forward with the VLT business program came after the Hellenic Gaming Commission introduced new regulation last November. The plans have been in the makings at OPAP for VLTs since 2015 and are expected to bring OPAP an astounding amount of net profits equaling between 800 million and 1 billion euros per year.
