Wonder Cruise Ship "Majestic Princess" is in Piraeus

The cruise ship Majestic Princess of Princess Cruises arrived in Piraeus Port on Sunday to start one of a total of eight cruises this year based on Piraeus.
The new ship has a 2017 construction date and cost 600 million euros. It has the capacity to hold 3,560 passengers and a crew of 1,346.
The use of Piraeus as a home port by large ships such as the Majestic Princess as well as the increase in numbers of Chinese passengers in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean are stated targets of both Cosco, the Piraeus Port Organization and the Greek cruise industry in general.
Majestic Princess offers passengers a variety of impressive luxury facilities, including the atrium – the heart of the ship, the Sea Walk – a corridor with a glass floor protruding from the edge of the ship offering sea views from a height, outdoor and indoor pools, Las Vegas-style entertainment, gourmet dining in restaurants as well as in private areas, playgrounds for children and other features.
The cruise ship made its first voyage on April 4, 2017 and will stay in the Mediterranean until May 21, when a cruise to the Far East will begin. Majestic Princess’ sister ship, the Royal Princess, will be in the Mediterranean for the summer with some departures to and from Piraeus.
