Greek Tennis Player Konstantinos Mikos Gets Lifetime Ban for Corruption

On Thursday, the Greek tennis player, Konstantinos Mikos, received a lifetime ban from competing in the sport after a Tennis Integrity Unit investigation found that he was guilty of four charges of corruption.
The investigation revealed that Mikos had offered another Greek player, Alexandros Jakupovic, bribes to lose nomination sets and games back in 2013 as well as at a Greece F20 Futures match in Rethymon. Jakupovic was banned for life from the sport back in 2015.
Along with offering Jakupovic payment, Mikos was also found to have two gambling accounts which involved placing bets on tennis games from March 2012 until December 2013, the AP has reported.
