Katerina Savvaidou to Submit Proposal to Appeals Council

Former General Secretary of Public Revenue, Katerina Savvaidou, is being referred to the Prosecutor’s Office with her proposal to the Appeals Council.
In her letter to the Appeals Council, Prosecutor Maria Gane, suggests that Katerina Savvaidou be indicted for the offense of attempted infidelity of service in connection with aggravating provisions of the law on abusing public funds.

Katerina Savvaidou was prosecuted by Head of Corruption Eleni Rakek after complaints that she attempted to favor a company that had outstanding debts in euros.
The former Secretary General for Public Revenue has also been accused of the omission of television station controls but was acquitted.
However, an Appeals Council will finally rule on the referral of the non-trial.
