Migration Minister Yiannis Mouzalas and Austria’s Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka boarded a Greek coast guard vessel patrolling the Aegean Sea borders between Greece and Turkey, near Kos, on Tuesday.
Sobotka is visiting Greece to be briefed about the management of the refugee issue and the difficulties in handling it.
The two ministers arrived in Kos shortly after 3 p.m. and visited the island’s hot spot, where they discussed about the operation of the center and the problems it is facing. They then visited the pre-departure center where migrants wait to be returned to their countries.
