Six Turkish Aircraft Violate Greek Air Space Multiple Times on Monday

Once again Turkish aircrafts have violated Greek airspace in the northeastern, central and southeastern Aegean on Monday, according to Greek defense officials.

Two armed F-16s and four helicopters entered Greece’s airspace resulting in six violations of the Athens Flight Information Region.

The airspace violations were met with Greek jets which intercepted the Turkish aircraft and resulted in a mock dogfight to drive the jets out of the airspace, the defense sources said. Such violations have become increasingly common over the past year since the failed military coup attempt in July.
