Olympiakos Stands One Game From Win After Beating Panathinaikos

On Sunday Olympiakos rose to the occasion closing a 10-point deficit against Panathinaikos in the last five minutes of the game to win Game 3 of the Basket League final series with a final score of 64-62.
With this win the Reds have taken the lead in the best-of-five series with a 2-1 advantage.
During the first half the Reds advanced 12-7 and eventually Panathinaikos went up by seven to get to a score of 30-23. Olympiakos then scored nine points at the end of the second period to put them in a 36-33 lead at half-time.
The third period ended equalized at 43-43 until Panathinaikos stepped up the next period to make a 15-5 partial score to go ahead by 10 points to a score of 58-48. However, the Reds got back into the game taking the lead with consecutive three-pointers in the last five minutes of the game while the Greens missed two attempts to score in the last 13 seconds of the game.
Game 4 of the five game series will take place on Thursday at Olympic Sports Hall of Athens.
