Houses up for rental in central Athens have shot up to 5,127 according to recent statistics provided by the independent Inside Airbnb service. This number is 2,627 higher than that of leases recorded just nine months back.
The popular online platform Airbn also revealed that 44 percent of ads recorded concerns a number of owners with multiple entries, as reported by ekathimerini. Many of these properties are managed by Eazybnb, a company specializing in serving owners that are interested in renting out their property through Airbnb.
Furthermore, the data shows that prices for properties closer to central Athens go for a higher rate, while even pricier are those that are located close to convenient transport such as metro stations and bus stops.
