I have full confidence in the Greek government and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told Euro2day.
Invited to comment on the statements of European People’s Party President Manfred Weber, in which the name of the President of the European Commission came up, Jean-Claude Juncker said: “I have full confidence in Alexis Tsipras, that is clear. Greece has done more than we expected. I recognize the great efforts of the Greek government. As for my personal relationship with Mr. Tsipras, there is “comfort, appreciation and trust.”
It is noted that Mr. Weber, in his meeting with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, stated that “we need a reputable government that will do a good job for the country. This is not the case today. For this, I believe that Mr. Tsipras belongs to the past and Mr. Mitsotakis represents the future.”
