Opposition New Democracy Has Double-Digit Lead in New Poll


Conservative opposition New Democracy (ND) has an 11.9% lead over governing SYRIZA, according to the latest MRB poll for Real.gr newsgroup.
The nationwide poll involved 2,000 voters. The voting intentions are as follows:
ND: 29.7%
SYRIZA: 17.8%
Golden Dawn: 7.4%
Democratic Coalition (PASOK / DIMAR): 7.4%
KKE: 6.9%
Centrist Union: 2.9%
Independent Greeks: 2.5%
Plefsi Eleftherias: 2.3%
Potami: 2.0%
ANTARSIA: 1.0%.
“Other Party”: 2.3%
“Unspecified Vote”: 17.8%.

According to the poll, ND leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is more suitable to be a Prime Minister than current premier Alexis Tsipras.
On the question “Which of the two do you think would be most suitable for Prime Minister of the country”, Tsipras gets 20.6% and Kyriakos Mitsotakis 31.6%. However, the majority of respondents -42%- say that neither is suitable.

Greeks feel anger and shame about their own and the country’s situation. Asked to assess the current situation in Greece 92.4% said that it was “Very Bad-Quite Bad.”
