A group of anarchists, among them members of the anarchist group Rubicon, invaded the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace building, which also hosts the office of Alexis Tsipras in Thessaloniki.
The group hoisted banners and threw leaflets protesting against the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair, which opens its gates this coming Saturday.
Police encircled the building, but no action was taken to forcibly evacuate the protesters.
After a tense stand-off, the protesters left and no arrests were made.
In a statement, the anarchists condemn the International Fair as a means through which capitalism enforces poverty on workers.
They also claim that each year politicians use the fair to make promises they never follow through.
