Shocking Details Emerge Following the Arrest of Musician on Child Abuse Charges

Μore details emerged following the arrest of reputable musician and teacher Panagiotis Drakos on child abuse charges.
The 60-year-old man was arrested on August 31 after one of his students complained to her parents who notified the police.
Drakos admitted that he sexually abused three girls, between the ages of 9 and 10, and that he also took pictures of his victims in uncompromising positions.
“I am guilty of the charges. But I have not hurt other kids,” he said to the prosecutor adding that he could not control his actions.
Police released his photo in order to alert the public and encourage other girls who may have been his victims to testify.

According to Greek media, friends and relatives of the accused are shocked by the revelations and the double life he lived.
They describe him as an educated and talented man who had never been in trouble with the law.
Drakos, a father of two, was a flute player and appeared with the National Opera and the Athens State Orchestra.
He has also performed in many European orchestras as the “first flute”.
Because of his experience and talent, he was much in demand as a music teacher.
The 60-year-old is in custody at Tripoli jail until his trial.
