Outrage in Greek Football as President of Larissa Spits at PAOK Player (video)

Football fans in Greece call for a ban on AE Larissa’s owner Alexis Kougias who appeared to spit at PAOK’s Moroccan midfielder Omar El Kaddouri after the final whistle between the two teams on Saturday evening.
The incident was caught on camera and football authorities are expected to take disciplinary action against Kougias.
Tempers flared as the final whistle found the two teams sharing a point, after Larissa’s Sandi Križman netted a crucial equalizer a minute from full-time clinching a 1-1 draw with PAOK, who were denied the chance to move to the top of the table.
Kougias, a lawyer, is a controversial figure in Greek football. In September 2016, he  reportedly slapped goalkeeper Matias Degra after the player made a crucial mistake that cost the game for Larissa.
In Athens, Panathinaikos produced a display of quality and passion on Saturday to defeat PAS Giannina 2-0, while Panaitolikos continued their excellent run of form with an impressive 3-0 demolition of Platanias in Crete.
