Rubicon Anarchists Smash Glass Entrance to Greece's Public Revenue Authority (video)

Using sledgehammers, members of the anarchist group “Rubicon” smashed the glass entrance of the General Secretariat of Information Systems (GSIS) offices in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At 6:15 am, eight hooded individuals arrived at the Finance ministry service offices, at the corner of Thessaloniki and Handri streets in the Moschato suburb of Athens and completely shattered the entrance glass of the independent public revenue authority office.
Carrying sledgehammers, the perpetrators finished their destructive assignment in a matter of minutes, videotaped the incident and walked away without as much as being questioned or driven out by the only security guard posted at the building at the time.
Not long after the demolition attack, “Rubicon” posted the video on an anarchist website along with a press release, stating that their move was “but a small portion of the violence we are faced with daily while trying to pay the taxes the powers that be are imposing on us.”
GSIS administrator Giorgos Pitsilis, who visited the offices after the attack, reassured the press that the authority’s servers containing taxpayers data were unharmed, but that the building is in dire need of stronger security.
