Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and his deputy, George Chouliarakis, will meet with the head of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde on Saturday.
The meeting will be held in Washington on the sidelines of the IMF’s annual meeting.
The meeting will take place nine days before the troika’s arrival in Athens (October 23), which is considered crucial for the third programme review.
According to sources, the troika is expected to stay approximately 10 days and return later in November, depending on the progress made regarding the implementation of the 95 prior actions.
Meanwhile, the government has set the next Eurogroup date for December 4, as the deadline for concluding the third review.
