Outcry in Greece as Preschoolers Show Off their Painting Skills on Horse (photos)

Animal rights groups have threatened to sue a kindergarten in Thessaloniki for making small kids paint on the body of a white horse.
The incident appears to have occurred on September 27, and according to the school, it was meant to make children more accustomed to animals as part of their education activities.

The photos; which have gone viral in Greece, have created a backlash from animal rights groups and parents associations who say that the act is a form of animal abuse.  Many Facebook users have expressed their rage, and one user asks, ‘Is this the education they envision for these sensitive souls?’

Others point to the fact that Greek law forbids the use of animals for entertainment purposes.
It is not clear whether the horse belongs to the school, or whether the paint can be washed away.
