Greek authorities are trying to solve the puzzle over the gruesome find of three bodies of young children discovered in Lesvos over the last few days.
A body belonging to a 12-13 year old girl was discovered on Thursday near the sea front in Montamado, on the northeastern side of the island.
A day later and in same area another body belonging to a boy of similar age was found. On Saturday a third body was also found.
According to Lesvos News, police speculate that the three children were refugees, part of a larger group, that died as they tried to approach the island on a boat.
They are investigating the case by interviewing refugees who recently arrived on Lesvos.
A post-mortem examination is expected to shed light to the case.
