Missing Student on Kalymnos Island Found Murdered

Nikos Hadjipavlou, a 21-year-old student who went missing a week ago on the island of Kalymnos, was found murdered late on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities believe the man was murdered because of the serious wounds on his body and mostly of the location he was found. The spot Hadjipavlou’s body was found was in an area that was extensively searched right after his disappearance was officially announced.
The 21-year-old student’s bicycle was found on November 18 in the Laghas area of the island. Previously he had told his parents that he is going on a bicycle ride. A large-scale search was conducted in the surrounding area but the young man was not found.
However, at 5:00 on Saturday afternoon his body was found near the point where his bicycle was previously found. The student had a deep wound on the head and other serious wounds in his arms and legs.
According to locals’ testimonies, the point where he was found is dangerous because it is a place frequented by delinquent people. Police believe that Hadjipavlou was murdered somewhere else and the killers later moved his body to the point it was found.
