Lena Platonos Concert in Athens to 'Brighten Up' Longest Night of the Year

The “bright sounds” of Lena Platonos’ music, a magical moon and mirrored reflections, will help dispel the darkness for Athenians during the longest night of the year this Thursday, December 21, at the Temple of Olympian Zeus.
Courtesy of the City of Athens, as part of its Christmas events’ programme, there will be free admission to the concert with entry coupons, which starts at 18:00 on Thursday evening. Tickets can be picked up on Wednesday and Thursday in the foyer of the City of Athens Cultural Centre at 50 Akadimias Street.
The Temple of Olympian Zeus is one of seven emblematic spots in the city that the Christmas festival organisers Yiannis Kakleas, Manolis Pantelidakis and Froso Lytra have converted into a giant stage, dominated by a bright moon that symbolises the fairy-tale unfolding in Athens over the Christmas season.
