4.2 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Athens

 

A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit near Athens on Monday evening at 22:25 local time.
The tremor was felt throughout the Greek capital.
According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center the epicenter was 2 km northeast of the town of Stamata, north of Athens, at a depth of 5 km.
There are no reports of injuries or damage.
