Greek defense ministry sources have told local media a Turkish coastguard vessel in the Aegean clipped a Greek military ship during a “dangerous maneuver” on Wednesday.
The Greek gunboat Nikiforos came into contact with the Turkish craft around 2.30 p.m. local time (1230GMT) while on patrol in the Imia islet area of the Aegean.
It did not sustain any serious damage, and the Turkish ship returned to its waters.
Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos was informed of the incident, media report.
The islet has been the scene of previous incidents between Greek and Turkish ships in the past.
