Greeks Get Into Chinese Spirit at Food Fair


Hundreds of visitors to the Expotrof food fair near Athens have had the opportunity to taste Moutai, one of China’s most popular spirits.
Chinese Kweichow Moutai, sole producers and exporters of the liquor, were the only foreign presence in this exhibition that took place that took place in late January.
Visitors commented on Moutai for its unusual aroma and its special flavor. Moutai is a brand of baijiu, a distilled Chinese spirit, made in the town of Maotai in China’s Guizhou province.

The alcoholic beverage was introduced to the Greek market by Petros Chang, who has been actively promoting its virtues.
The presence of Kweichow Moutai at the fair is seen as indicating the continuous effort of Chinese companies to participate in the whole range of commercial activities evolving in Greece.
