Greek Unemployment Remains Highest in Eurozone

Greece had the dubious distinction of continuing to top the eurozone’s unemployment rate table on Thursday.
Eurostat reported that the eurozone average was 8.6 percent but that Greece still had an unemployment rate of 20.9 percent as of November 2017.
However, Greece also saw one of the largest falls in unemployment, from 23.3 percent to 20.9 percent between November 2016 and November 2017.
Unfortunately, Greece also maintains its leading position on youth joblessness, with close to half of under-25s (43.7 percent) currently out of work.
