Athens main international airport together with the Marathon Run Museum are presenting a contemporary-art exhibition — “Marathon Universe”.
The exhibition will be on display for passengers until the end of May 2018.
Marathon Universe presents different works by Greek sculptor Nikos Yorgos Paputsidis which showcase the everyday run of both travelers and athletes, running their own lives’ ‘Marathon’.
Passengers and visitors can become part of the exhibition by following the authentic Marathon run.
The artist is inspired by the timeless ideal of the Marathon run and uses these thoughts to suggest travel both in space and time.
The exhibition includes designs, sketches, miniature models and audiovisual materials.
