Some Greek positions in the negotiations regarding the name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia are “absurd”, said the Balkan country’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov on Friday.
According to reports from Skopje, Dimitrov expressed this view while talking with European diplomats on the issue. Greece’s Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is to visit  Skopje next week to continue negotiations on the naming issue, with Greek diplomats saying that such statements are not good for the upcoming talks.
In Skopje, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev had a hard time passing a bill in parliament according to which Albanian is the second official language of FYROM.
