Turkish F-4 Fighter Jets Fly over Greek Airspace

Ankara continues provocations in the Aegean as Turkish F-4 fighter jets flew over Panagia and Oinousses islands on Wednesday afternoon.
The overflight was at a height of 12,500 feet, with Greece responding immediately. A pair of Greek F-16 took off from Lemnos and intercepted the Turkish aircraft according to international rules.
Just before noon, two Turkish F-4 fighters violated national airspace in the northeast Aegean area between Lemnos and Lesvos.
The new airspace violations came two days after a Turkish helicopter flew over Ro island, with the General Staff of both countries downplaying the event.
