Residents in Thessaloniki were shocked when police and army explosives experts were called in after ammunition and a hand grenade was found in an apartment.Saturday’s operation came after relatives of the owner — reportedly a former military man who had passed away — came to clean out his property.
However, while going through his belongings they found the deadly device and called the authorities.
According to reporters, the officers deactivated the grenade and removed all the material from the scene.
