Watch UK Warplanes Leaving Cyprus for Syria Airstrikes (video)

Footage has been released showing U.K. warplanes at a Royal Air Force base in Cyprus taking off for bombing raids in Syria.

Released by the U.K.’s Daily Mail newspaper, it shows four Tornado jets taking off from RAF Akrotiri, one of the U.K.’s Sovereign Base Areas on Cyprus.

The airstrikes against military targets belonging to the regime of Bashar al-Assad have prompted street protests in Greece by left-wing activists.

Organized by the Greek Communist Party, demonstrators rallied in Syntagma Square on Saturday and also picketed the U.S. embassy.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said America is “locked and loaded” for more operations.
